Is this some kind of HDR? Or did you use the Highlights and Shadows sliders in PS? Or what? It's been in my favorites for at least a year and I just came back to look at it. It's soooo perfect.

actually it is some kind of hdr. at least its a composing of a tonemaped picture overlayed with the normal shot. that gives the detailed look.

You put the tonemapped version on top of the normal version and used Overlay mode?

kind of. that would be to simple, i used masks layer adjustments to make it match. but how exactley.. dont ask me. to lang time ago :)

Ohhh, okay, cool, I know what you mean. Tone-mapped version on top of normal version (or vice versa), mask the top one, and then selectively remove parts of the mask to reveal the other picture underneath. Right?

I never thought of doing that with HDR. I personally hate HDR, but I might have to give this method a try.

i dont like it anymore but in this time i was fan of this kind of technics. :)
go for it, at least its nice to see good results. :)
